Dental

Oral health is a very important part of your pet’s overall physical health. Our veterinarians perform oral health checks as a part of all routine physicals and office visits, ensuring that each one of our patients has a healthy mouth. We often prescribe professional dental cleanings, as needed.

All of our dental technicians are training to be fully certified in dental care and professional dental cleanings, ensuring that our team can provide the best and most thorough treatment available!

Professional Dental Cleanings

When we perform professional dental cleanings for pets, we adhere to the highest anesthesia standards that have been set by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) to ensure the safety of the pet. All cleanings are performed under anesthesia for your pet’s safety.

Every dental procedure includes cleaning, scaling, polishing, and full mouth dental x-rays. If we find teeth that are infected, damaged, or causing pain, we can perform additional oral surgery to remove the affected teeth.

Dental Maintenance

As a pet owner, it’s important to maintain your pet’s oral health between professional check-ups and cleanings. This often includes brushing, but because some pets may not accept having their teeth brushed, there are other options. We can help you determine the best options for oral care for your pet. For your convenience, we also carry Royal Canin dental diets at Lebanon Animal Hospital. Dental diets can be extremely useful for keeping teeth clean and healthy, especially when your pet has a history of dental disease or is not receptive to at-home oral care.
